Self Contract by Consumer Jungle

Students will write a self-contract that keeps them accountable to their fitness and nutrition goals.
60 minutes: Entire activity
Students will set nutritional and exercise goals. They will also determine how to keep themselves accountable to these goals by identifying rewards and penalties to keep them motivated.
This lesson is one part of a larger unit, Health. While completing this unit students will learn about how to evaluate gyms, fitness machines, bulk building options, and learn how to nourish their body to participate in athletic events.
Consumer Jungle units are designed to be flexible, and can be used as one integrated unit or individual segments. - Hand out the Self-Contract worksheet to students
- Ask students to answer the questions on the worksheet and turn it in for grading.
- Ask students to share their goals, rewards, penalties, and accountability partners.
Note: Weight, as a component of nutrition, is a sensitive topic, and most students will want to keep their personal information private from their classmates.

Students can take the concept quizzes via pen and paper.
