Vector Addition by PhET
Grade Levels
Commencement, 11th Grade, 12th Grade
Description
This simulation will allow students to learn how to add vectors. Students will drag vectors onto the graph, change their length and angle, and sum them together. The magnitude, angle, and components of each vector can be displayed in several formats.
Using the simulation, students will:
- Explain vector representations in their own words.
- Convert between the angular form of vectors and the component form.
- Calculate % error using the best measurement for the expected value.
