Description
To demonstrate the knowlege of the vocabulary of the body parts through gestures and song, the students will sing the French song Alouette.
Materials:
- Flashcards of the body parts in French.
- Tape of the song Alouette. (Optional)
Procedure:
- Review body parts in French with flashcards.
- Repeat and demonstrate each line of the song with the class until students have mastered the vocabulary and the motions.
- Play the tape of the song for the class. (Optional)
- With teacher leading, sing the song once with the tape.
- Teacher will sing the song several times with the class.
- Teacher will choose 3-4 students to lead the song in front of the classroom.
- Have student song leaders choose other students to take their places in front of the classroom.
Assessment
After successfully completing this activity, students will be able to sing the song by themselves using the appropriate vocabulary with the body parts.
