Description
The children will know when to place the objects that the old lady swallows in her stomach. Sing or read I Know An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly by William Stobbs.
- Have ready a poster-size old lady (you may enlarge a picture from the book) with a gallon-sized plastic bag attached to her stomach.
- Collect small objects or pictures to represent the animals she swallows during the story.
- Give each child an object and as you retell the story, the children will place the objects in the women's stomach (plastic bag).
- Repeat often!
