Description

The National Priorities Project analyzes and clarifies federal data so that people can understand and influence how their tax dollars are spent.

The website includes:

• charts and briefs on the Federal Budget including spending and revenues by category
• snapshots of your state for specific issues such as poverty, energy, military spending, etc.
• information on trade-offs where you can find a policy and see what it could buy in terms of local services
• the cost of the War in Iraq
• an interactive income tax chart that shows how the federal income taxes paid was spent by the government
