Kinetic City Kinetic City is a collection of Science experiments, games, and projects for everyone to enjoy both online and away from the computer.
In this web-based practice, students must identify the parts of the body for given systems and place organs in the appropriate location in a human body.
Kinetic City Information for Educators
S.MS.LS.1.3 Students who demonstrate understanding Construct an explanation supported by evidence for how the body is composed of interacting systems consisting of cells, tissues, and organs working together to maintain homeostasis.
MST4.I.LE.1.2 Students explain the functioning of the major human organ systems and their interactions.
MST4.I.LE.1.2a Each system is composed of organs and tissues which perform specific functions and interact with each other, e.g., digestion, gas exchange, excretion, circulation, locomotion, control, coordination, reproduction, and protection from disease.
MST4.I.LE.1.2b Tissues, organs, and organ systems help to provide all cells with nutrients, oxygen, and waste removal.
MST4.I.LE.1.2c The digestive system consists of organs that are responsible for the mechanical and chemical breakdown of food. The breakdown process results in molecules that can be absorbed and transported to cells.
MST4.I.LE.1.2f The circulatory system moves substances to and from cells, where they are needed or produced, responding to changing demands.
