Step-by-Step Procedure

1. Introduce the lesson using the attached Notebook file.
2. Distribute materials to students.
3. Students will open their bags of candy and sort by color.
4. Students will count how many candies they have in total.
5. Using the point values assigned to each color, students will multiply quantities x point value to determine total point value for each color.
6. Students will determine the range and median of their data.
7. Upon completion of the activity worksheet, students may enjoy eating their candies.
