The students will be able to understand that classification is simply grouping organisms into groups with specific characteristics.
Description
Teacher will bring up classification page from SMART Board notebook. She will ask students to organize the organisms into groups. She will then ask the student to explain their logic. As each student approaches the board, they will touch and drag the organisms into their groups. Through a series of questions, the students will learn that there are many ways to organize organisms into groups.

SMART Board, computer, SMART notebook, LCD Projector
