Procedure

1. Have students go to the website: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/mind/probe.html.
2. The students can read the introduction and then click on the link to bring them to the simulation.
3. Students have to click on the part of the brain that is highlighted in yellow, and then a part of the body will move. The part of the brain that was touched will also say which part of the body it affects.
4. Have students interact with this simulation until everyone has probed every section of the brain.
5. Allow students to share their conclusions and findings based on this experience.

Description

This interactive allows students to see how different sections of the brain control different parts of your body. Students will also be able to see how one side of your brain controls another side of your body. Students can click on different sections of the brain and watch a part of the body move.
