Music (alternate unit 2)

La chanson française:

Students learn vocabulary for musical composition, genres,

and artistic performances. Students learn the songs various francophone artists.

Students complete listening, grammar, writing activities, and vocabulary exercises and

take unit exam. Project: Each student presents an exposé comparing songs of a

francophone musician. Students are graded with a rubric.

 

Art (Alternate Unit 1)

Les impressions d’art

 

Vocabulary and grammar:  Art, description, past tense structures, opinion statements

Students learn about the Impressionist movement, various artists and their lives.

Students research and write exposés on the artists and describe their paintings and their impressionist elements.  Students complete listening, grammar, writing activities, and vocabulary exercises and take unit assessments.  Students Project:  Students present an exposé to the class on a specific artist.  Students are graded with a rubric.
