Dear Parent,

I am your child’s Math teacher. I am hopeful that we can work together so that your child will have a positive experience this year. If you have any questions this year, you can reach me at school at 658-2515.

Students will have homework almost every night, Monday through Thursday. They will occasionally have homework on the weekend. Assignments should require no more than 30 minutes. When students are absent from school for a day, they will be expected to make up the work. Your scholar can all a friend or may contact me at school during the day and I will call home with the assignment or students can make it up the next day.

Each student will need a pencil and loose-leaf paper every day for class. Your child will be issued a textbook and is responsible for its condition. Students will also be allowed to use a calculator at times during the year. Students are not required to have a calculator, but it would be helpful if you have one at home that can be made available for your child’s use. If you are going to buy a calculator for your child, please purchase a scientific calculator.
