Participation in Government: Assignment Due Dates
Current Event Assignments: all current event assignments are due at the end of the week on Friday. The following are the remaining due dates for current event assignments.
- May 1st, May 8th, May 15th, May 21st**, May 29th, June 5th, & June 12th
Political Cartoons Project: Due May 5th
- Students must collect 10 political cartoons & answer questions on each cartoon. Then students must create their own political cartoon on one of four possible subjects.
- More information on assignment is found in political cartoon handout.
Final Project Bill: Due May 15th
- Each group must provide their final bill on their particular topic. Bills must be formatted as discussed in class. For additional information on creating the final Bill please use the "Building a Bill" packet.
Final Project Papers: Due June 1st
- ALL 4 PAPERS, which are part of your final project, ARE DUE TOGETHER.
Participation in Government: Important Information
1) Final Project Presentation: Will begin on June 1st.
- Information regarding presentation can be found in syllabus or in final project handout.
- Guidelines: 40 minute presentation, can include 20 minute video or guest speaker
2) 10 hours of Community Service: Due June 12th
- Must complete community service sheet
3) Public Meeting: Due June 12th
- Must provide agenda of the meeting, & summary/opinion of the meeting
