HINTS FOR CHAPTER 2 QUESTIONS
#15 & #16 Look up Millikin's Oil Drop Experiment online and read about it. C stands for the unit Coulomb, which is a measure of charge.
#17 "A" stands for the unit Angstrom, which is a measure of length. 1 A = 10-10 m. The formula for volume of a sphere is V = (4/3)(3.14)(r3).
OMIT #47, you do not have your textbook so you can't see the pictures.
For the naming questions you may find my link off websites tab helpful.

AP CHEMISTRY COURSE OUTLINE
Download and print the AP Chem Course Outline. Read it over and share with your parents/guardians. The last page needs to be filled out and returned to me the first week of school.
Enjoy the heat wave!

AP CHEM SUMMER ASSIGNMENT HAS BEEN POSTED
You will find a link below to the AP Chem Summer Assignment. The file is a pdf and you will need to download it to your computer and print it. The file is 9 pages long. This problem set is select problems from the textbook I have ordered for the class. You do not need the textbook to answer the questions. Use your notes from last year. Write all answers on a separate sheet of paper. You can download a copy of the Regents Chemistry Reference Tables using the links below.
Good luck and email me if you have any questions. If you are having difficulty downloading the assignment let me know asap. You should have received a message with your report card informing you of the assignment.
Remember this is a college level class and is faster paced that your typical high school class. All material must be covered by May 2nd 2011 as the exam is usually the second week of May. DO NOT wait until the end of the summer to complete this. It is due the first day of class and may take 10 - 20 hours to complete.
