Another important way to collect assessment data is simply
by observing students. The teacher makes notes as the student is observed
demonstrating their understanding of information or skills taught. It is
important that the teacher keep notes over an extended period of time so that
there is enough information to reliably judge the performance that is the focus
of the observation.
