Rubrics

A rubric is a set of scoring guidelines for assessing student work. A generalized rubric can be used to assess a wide range of products and performances. It is more generic in nature, able to assess multiple tasks to which the same criteria can be applied. A task specific rubric is a rubric developed with a set of guidelines to assess a very specific task. The content in a task specific rubric is relative to the product or performance expected of the student.
