Writing Activities
Let's Play a Game
Ask your child to make up a game he/she would like to play. Have them write down the directions and teach you the game.

Writing Questions
Have your child write five questions about a favorite activity. Start each question with one of these words: who, what, where, when, or why.

Sharing Memories
Discuss things you do as a family that are happy memories. Write 2-3 sentences about what makes this memory so special.

What's Good About Me
Have your child make a list of things that he is good at doing. Do the same for yourself. Compare and discuss. Repeat the process, using words describing yourselves and what you like about each other.

Directions
Have your child think about giving a friend directions from school to your house. Write step-by-step directions in order, using words like first, second, etc.
