Music - Senior High Band - Matrix - Grades 9 -12 - 10 - 40 Weeks

1:  The student will be able to recognize and express him/herself in musical terms appropriate to his/her instrument of study and music being performed.














2:  The student will be able to understand musical rhythmic notation.


















3.  The student will rehearse and perform music written specifically for band/wind ensemble by composers from America and around the world.





















4:  The student will rehearse and perform music arranged for band/wind ensemble by composers of historical significance





















5:  The student will participate in performances sponsored by the Music Department during each academic year






6:  The student will make aesthetic judgments about different styles of music












7:  The student will demonstrate sight reading skills using
