Sample ELA Assessments for Grades 3 - 8 Now Available

Believe it or not, the English Language Arts tests are right around the corner! The assessments for Grades 3 - 5 will be administered during the week of January 9th, while the assessments for Grades 6 - 8 will be given from January 17 - 20. To help you prepare your students for these, NYLearns.org has added sample ELA tests for Grades 3 - 8 to the Assessment Builder. Using this tool, registered users can create complete exams, or search for and compile specific questions to create customized worksheets.

Poetry Archive Recordings Added to NYLearns.org

The Poetry Archive is the world's premier online collection of recordings of poets reading their own poems. Alongside the recordings, you will find a wealth of biographical information about the poets, which will assist in understanding the context for their work.

New Curriculum Matrix Tool in Development

The NYLearns.org development team is continually working to bring new and improved tools to educators. Currently, they are hard at work on our new Curriculum Matrix tool. With this tool, registered users will have the ability to create curriculum matrices from a pre-approved district template. The matrices can be shared with all district registered users.

Holiday Scavenger Hunt

In December the NYLearns.org team announced a Holiday Scavenger Hunt. The scavenger hunt involved locating specific pieces of content within NYLearns.org, bookmarking them, and creating a scavenger hunt page on your NYLearns.org webpage.
