Unifrom Policy
Ties everyday!!!!!
Parents I need your help, some students are forgetting their tie, please assist with this matter. Thank You!!!!

Homework is written in planners everyday, please check planners, or our website Daily, I will list the homework on our website. Thank you.

Newsletters are written every month. Ask for the newsletter to stay informed about 351 and Westminster News!!!!!!

Thank you for your patience and quick responses to the notices and forms we send home to you.
We appreciate you!

Remember it is very important that we have updated information on your child and how to reach you in case of an emergency.
Please provide updated telephone numbers whenever it becomes necessary.
Tardiness---Our curriculum schedule begins at 8:30am therefore, we must alleviate the tardiness of our students, please help us!!!!!!!!!!! And remember students must have a note once they return to school from being out SICK!!!!!!

Please try to schedule doctor's and dentist's appointments after school hours.  I know that you must take the appointments to accomondate everyone. Therefore if you must schedule an appointment during school time it is better for your child to miss an hour and not a whole day.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Parents and Students,

Please, shop early for school supplies. The stores are packed with everything we need! I have been looking in the Sunday Paper Circulars and the sales are fantastic!
Below is the Supply List for 5th grade:

Dear Fifth Grade Parent(s),

We are looking forward to teaching your child during the 2007-2008 school year. As your child prepares for the following school year, there are a few important details that you need to be aware of.

Everyday all students must wear his or her uniform with their tie to show support for our school. We are proud to be a part of Westminster Community Charter School, Buffalo’s Best!!!

A school supply list is listed below. Please have all supplies in by the first day of school. We suggest that you do not wait to buy supplies until the last week of summer. Many stores, such as WalMart, Kmart, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, or Target, have the shelves stocked by the end of the school year.

Fifth Grade Supply List

Throughout the school year, your child may need to replenish certain supplies.

*Notebooks—9 marble composition notebooks: Label one for Math, Science, social Studies, Reading Writing, Bell Work, and Word Work (Two of the notebooks will be used for Writing. Students will decorate their Writer’s Notebook with pictures on the cover the first day of school. Students should have pictures with them to decorate the notebook.)

*Folders---9 with pockets and fasteners: Label on for Reading (orange), Writing (orange), Social Studies (blue), science (green), Mathematics (red), and Take Home Folder (Any fun folder—Please check this folder on a daily basis for any sending or returning of important notices. If you cannot find the correct color, any folder will be fine.)

*Loose-leaf paper--- 2 packages

*#2 Pencils---3 packages

*Black or blue ink pens---3 packages

* Any color pen for editing

*Crayons—16 or 24 pack

*Highlighters—1 any color

* Colored pencils

* 1 scissor

* Glue stick

*7 Boxes of Tissues

*1 Boxes of gallon size baggies with sipper to hold reading books and math tools

* Soft pencil case

*2 packages of post-its

*1 ruler with inch and centimeter measurement

* $1.00 for planner


Supplies for Special Area Teachers:

Spanish—

*1 Binder (2 inch) black or white

*2 black and white composition notebooks

*1 pack of 12 pens (black or blue)

*3 highlighters (red, blue, yellow)

*2 pack of dividers (5 tabs)

*1 yellow folder with pockets and fasteners

*1 pack of 12 pencils

*1 pack of paper with lines—Loose-leaf paper

*1 pack of colored pencils or markers

*1 Spanish/English—English/Spanish Dictionary

Music

*1 folder with pockets and fasteners

*1 package of loose-leaf paper

Gym

*We suggest that you purchase the school t-shirt and shorts. Please see the main office or uniform office for further details.

All supplies must be in the first day of school. Your child’s teacher will be checking in the supplies in order to begin instruction.

We are looking forward to meeting all of you at our first parent meeting held in September.
